After America, Germany will now be developing one of the cities of Rajasthan as a Smart City. Germany government had sent a proposal to the central 6-7 days back.

The central government had asked the state to refer final names for the project. ACS of Urban Development Department said that on the basis of rules stated by Germany, three cities were finalized, the report of which was sent to Rajpal Singh Shekhawat. The top listed cities chosen were Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota.

The final selection of the city would be done by ministers and Chief Minister. Germany had proposed that for the smart city initiative, the city’s population should be more than 5 Lacs with proper transport system and airline connectivity. Connected with National Highway, sufficient infrastructure and provision of green-clean should also be there in the city.
