“As per records, till January 10, Udaipur zone has registered the maximum migration registrations to the upcoming GST Indirect tax model”, said Pragya Kewalramani, Deputy Commissioner (Administration) at the Department of Commerce.

In the first phase of migration that went on till 10th January, out of registered 4,82,810 dealers under VAT in Rajasthan, 3,83,363 (79.40%) have completed their initial migration to GST and taken provisional IDs.  Out of the above total registered dealers, Udaipur zone has 33,475 legitimate registered VAT dealers, of which 27,2796 has completed initial registration till January 10 and 360 of these have migrated completely to GSTN.  This is a record 83.04% for the state.

As per the enforced procedures, only those dealers who have registered for VAT till October 30, 2015 will be given GSTN ID and Password.  For dealers who have registered after 30 October 2015, the Login ID and Passwords will be given in the second phase, in February 2017.

Those dealers who have completed initial registration for GSTN shall need to complete their registration process within 6 months of initial registration, failing which their initial registration will automatically lapse, causing them to re-register for GSTN.
