Municipal Councillors from Udaipur today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The Municipal councillors from Udaipur are on a three day visit to New Delhi. The councillors invited PM Modi to visit Mewar, the land to bravery and land of Maharana Pratap. PM Modi, in response, showered praise on the region and accepted the invitation to visit Mewar.

The councillor delegation reached Lok Sabha at 11 am. When PM Modi and other delegates did not show up at the pre-decided time, one could sense the disappointment amongst the councillors. However, post efforts by MP Arjun Lal Meena, the PM did eventually arrive and meet the delegates.

PM met the delegates in four groups and even had photographs clicked with the group. State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria also came for the photo-session. Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari was in the second group whereas Deputy Mayor was in the fourth group.

Mobile phones were not allowed in the Lok Sabha and hence the councillors were disappointed at not being able to click photographs inside the arena. As per media reports, Councillor Paras Singhvi however managed to somehow squeeze his mobile phone into the premise and this served as the prime photo capturing medium for all the councillors.
