In an official ceremony conducted by the garage committee of Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) today, 3 fully equipped public utility vehicles alongwith 2 tractors, were added to the council’s public convenience services.

Chairperson Rajni Dangi informed that a sky lift mounted over TATA Ace auto worth Rs 5,68,860, in-sever jetting machine worth rupees Rs 5,11,850 and a sewerage cleaning machine trolley worth Rs 7,30,000 and two farm tractors under the subsidized rates of D.G.S & D worth rupees Rs 4,96,875 each were purchased by UMC.

She said that there are too many narrow lanes in our city, in which other heavy vehicles will not be able to work properly. Hence UMC had purchased these small but very useful vehicles that can easily move in the congested parts of the city and complete the task.

The total cost of all the vehicles is around more than Rs.28 lac. It will be worth seeing that how actively these new vehicles and “Safai Karmcharis” will work while the work of cleanliness of the city is under the hands of the “Thekedars”.
