Udaipur, December 31, 2024. On the occasion of New Year's Eve celebrations this evening, Udaipur police had made extensive arrangements to ensure there is no chaos around. The police will keep a close watch on partygoers with hotels and resorts expected to see heavy crowds. Roadblocks will be set up at 47 locations across the city, and police personnel will be deployed everywhere in the city. Tonight, more than 500 additional police officers will be stationed in the city.

Additional Superintendent of Police (City), Umesh Ojha has said that in order to maintain law and order across all police station areas, strict security measures, including roadblocks, will be implemented at key locations in the city. Breathalyser tests will be conducted to check for drunk driving and action will be taken against those driving at high speeds. Mobile patrol teams and lady patrol teams have been deployed to take action against anti-social elements in the city.

To ensure smooth traffic movement, additional police forces have been deployed. Legal action will be taken against individuals indulging in dangerous activities like speeding or performing stunts on motorcycles, especially at locations like Kaala Kiwaad, Devali, Fateh Sagar, Rani Road and also across the city.

Action will also be taken against those selling illegal liquor or selling liquor after 8:00 pm, whether licensed or unlicensed vendors. Mobile teams will conduct surprise checks at various places and strict legal action will be taken against any illegal activities discovered.

The police will also enforce the restrictions on the use of sound amplifying devices as issued by the Supreme Court and the State Government. Hotels, resorts, and party organisers found serving illegal alcohol or drugs will face legal action.

The public is urged to report any disruptive or anti-social elements to the police control room so that necessary action can be taken. For the convenience of tourists, certain roads will be designated as one-way.

Traffic movement will be as such:

• Vehicles will not be allowed to travel from Patel Circle towards Kishanpol, Government Press or Pala Ganeshji.
• All types of vehicles will be allowed from Jagdish Chowk towards Hathipol, including three-wheelers and four-wheelers.
• No vehicles will be allowed from Jagdish Chowk towards Tourism Police Station, Rangniwas.
• No vehicles will be allowed from Hathipol towards Ghantaghar or Jagdish Chowk.
• Four-wheel vehicles will not be allowed entry from Ambamata Chowk and Brahmpol Gate towards Jada Ganeshji and Chandpol.
• All types of vehicles, including three-wheelers and four-wheelers, will be allowed to move via Aravalli Vatika and Ambavgarh, passing through Jatwadi/New Pulia, towards Chandpol, Jada Ganeshji, Ambapol, Brahmpol and Ambamata Chowk.
