Udaipur Prepares for Independence Day Celebration

The district administration of Udaipur is preparing for State level Independence Day celebration. Flag hoisting will be carried out by Chief Minister Vasudhra Raje on 15th August.

 

The district administration of Udaipur is preparing for State level Independence Day celebration. Flag hoisting will be carried out by Chief Minister Vasudhra Raje on 15th August.

In a two day programme starting from 14th August, cultural events will be organized at Railway Training Institute Ground.

Ashutosh Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur informed that cultural events will be organised over 6 different places in series with flag hoisting on 15th August at Maharana Bhupal Stadium. On eve before Independence Day another cultural event will be organised.

Pednekar added that initially 6 spots have been decided for series of events, although it would be finalized from Jaipur. On the eve before cultural event, nearly 3000 artists and students will give a stage performance. Artists from west zone culture centre, north zone culture Patiala and north central culture Allahabad will also participate.

In the grand celebration of Independence Day, bike stunts will be performed by Rajasthan Police, army will give live demo of weapons along with a Camel Tetu performance by BSF. Other events like Ten Pegging on horse will also be organised.

Pednekar also added that a 12 feet high stage is accommodated for Gavri Act, Exhibiting Mewari Art Symbols and even educating audience about History and Culture of Mewar.
