Udaipur will witness 5th phase of Parliamentary Election 2014 on Thursday 17th April on 2061 polling booths in Udaipur District.

Udaipur will witness 5th phase of Parliamentary Election 2014 on Thursday 17th April on 2061 polling booths in Udaipur District. Administration is prepared to tackle any unwanted situation and has deployed more than 4000 security personnel including jawans of paramilitary force and BSF.

According to District Electoral Officer, Ashutosh Pednekar, “Many new things have been added in this election, from security perspective, social awareness etc.”

Pednekar said, “25 polling booths will have live web casting, where people can see what’s going on inside the polling booths. Also, 200 micro observers will give every minute report of the polling booth.”

To appreciate the voters, each polling booth will register the name of the first voter, who will get a certificate of appreciation

Ashutosh Pednekar informed that, many business associations and shopping malls are offering discount to the customers who will show their voting mark as a part of encouragement.

With the election awareness campaign and contribution of locals, it is assumed that voting percentage will go higher this time.

Electronic Device not allowed at polling booth

All electronic device including mobile phones are strictly prohibited in polling booth and its 100 meter area.

Voters are requested not to take their mobile phones at polling booths.
