Udaipur Set for Revamped Cleanliness System

UdaipurTimes, Sept 30, 2026 - Udaipur is now expected to see a more comprehensive approach to cleanliness with the implementation of a new system. The city’s new Mayor, Paras Singhvi, visited Indore on Tuesday, September 29, to understand and study the city’s sanitation system. According to information available, the Indore model of cleanliness is likely to be applied in Udaipur city.
The city will now be divided into zones to improve cleanliness, as per reports. Responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in each area will be designated to assigned officials. Under the new system, officials will monitor sanitation work, keep track of garbage collection vehicles and strengthen the system for ensuring that wet and dry waste is segregated at the household level.
The entire system - along with collecting garbage from streets, parks and public places to its final disposal — will be regulated. Maintenance of parks and public spaces, dividers, roadside greenery and pruning of trees will also be monitored.
