Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Diya Kumari approved Rs 554 Cr for the development works under Smart City Phase 2 across 4 cities in Rajasthan. Of this, Rs. 134 Cr has been approved for Udaipur Smart City Development Phase 2.
A resolution to this affect was passed by the office of the Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Wednesday, 31 January at Jaipur. The four cities that have been allocated funds are Udaipur, Jaipur, Kota and Ajmer. Diya Kumari thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri for these approvals, which will speed up development work across these four major cities in Rajasthan.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is working committedly towards realizing the Prime Minister's goal of a developed India. With this amount, infrastructure will be developed in four big cities of the state and people will get the benefits of smart city.
It is noteworthy that under Smart City Mission Phase 2.0, an amount of Rs 134 crore has been approved for Udaipur, Rs 154 crore for Jaipur, Rs 168 crore for Kota and Rs 98 crore for Ajmer. This amount will be used in the development of infrastructure with special focus on Integrated Waste Management.
