In the perspective of tourism development, collector emphasized Udaipur to turn a beggar-free city under which efforts will be made for the destitute to be connected with employment schemes.

At the District Tourism Development Committee’s meeting held on Monday, Collector Rohit Gupta stated that with this effort, the city will make a distinct mark in the world and help attract more tourism. Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari was also seen supporting this initiative.

Mayor added that with the help of Nigam Welfare Society and Police, a beggar-free campaign will run in the city in which the destitute will be acquainted with the various welfare schemes and proper arrangements will be made for their rehabilitation.

Besides this, the administration is going to work on development of means of tourism under which along with city buses, TATA Magic autos might also run on the roads. A touch of Rajasthani art & dance is also expected to start at ‘Night Food Bazar’ to attract tourists. Special mention was made for basement parking as well.

The meeting was attended by ADM City O.P Bunkar, Nagar Nigam Commissioner Himmat Singh Barhath, officials of tourism, police and other delegated of the administration.
