Udaipur's first vehicle sanitization tunnel was set up at the Mahakeleshwar Chauraha by the district administration.
Mahkaleshwar Chauraha is the main entry point to the Mulla Talai area, which was put under curfew on 2 April following the identification of Udaipur’s first coronavirus positive case from Raza Colony in Mulla Talai.
The tunnel has been set up at the exit point and is primarily for vehicles that exit from Mahakaleshwar area. This sanitization should ensure that vehicles exiting the cordoned zone from the official main road get sanitized on their way out.
Udaipur Mayor Govind Singh Tak inaugurated the tunnel today. Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, informed media personnel that after beginning the road sanitization work in parts of the city, the sanitization tunnel system in the city is the next step.
