Udaipur’s Manoj Bhatt appointed new DGP of State
Senior IPS Officer, Udaipur’s resident Dr. Manoj Bhatt was appointed as Rajasthan’s Director General of Police (DGP) on Sunday. He will manage his responsibility at office from Monday, 12.15 PM onward.
Senior IPS Officer, Udaipur’s resident Dr. Manoj Bhatt was appointed as Rajasthan’s Director General of Police (DGP) on Sunday. He will manage his responsibility at office from Monday, 12.15 PM onward.
Bhatt till now was working on the post of Director General, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB). The post of DGP fell vacant after the retirement of Omendra Bhardwaj on the completion of his 60 years in office.
Dr. Bhatt, a 1981 batch pass out will be the 29th DGP of the state. With a PhD in Osteopathy, he will handle the current post for 2 years and 4 months; retirement in 2017. Dr. Manoj Bhatt is known to be a man of honesty and of indisputable image.
State government also promoted two IPS officers Ajit Singh and Jaswant Sampatram from ADG to the post of Director General. Singh would now be DG (Jail) in Rajasthan while Sampatram will be in charge of Home guard and Civil Defense.
In addition, DGP Pankaj Kumar who was holding the post of ADG (crime department) will be additional charge of Anti Corruption Bureau, the official said.
