Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) has planned to construct a 200 feet wide road from Savina. The road will connect Udaipur to Salumbar via Titardi. The trust has recently carried out a massive demolition within the Savina locality to implement the project.

Ram Niwas Mehta, Secretary, UIT informed that orders of shifting electricity poles have been given to the related department, which will also proceed with laying all electric cables underground. The road construction will start as soon as electricity department completes the primary work.

Mehta added that the 200 feetroad will stretch for nearly 40 kms, which will connect Udaipur to the nearby Salumber District.  At present the road is 80 feet wide, which further shrinks to less than 60 feet as it approaches Wagad.

Mehta also informed that officials have already demarked the road for further construction. The estimated cost of the project is not decided as UIT is expecting few more reports from other departments.
