The new and slightly elevated UIT bridge is finally completed and is set to be opened for traffic from 20-May. The inauguration of the bridge will be carried out at the hands of 3 ministers on Saturday evening post which the bridge will be opened for public use.

UIT Chairman Ravindra Shrimali informed that final touches are being given to the inauguaration procedure of the bridge. The bridge will be inaugurated at 5pm on Saturday, 20-May by State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria, Housing and Urban Development minister, Shrichand Kriplani and district in-charge minister Dhan Singh Rawat.

The bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 389.85 Lakh. The bridge was closed to public for renovation and reconstruction on Jun 17,2016. The elevation of bridge was much required since it used to get flooded every time the gates at Swaroop Sagar and Fateh Sagar were opened.

The bridge is 45.80 meters long and 15 meters wide. Bridge will provide much needed relief to people travelling from Chetak Circle, Panchwati, Daitya magri and going towards Saheliyon ki Bari.
