Acting strictly against illegal construction, Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) demolished a large part of an under construction commercial building at Siphon Chouraha. A temporary eatery was also removed from the area.

As per Ram Niwas Mehta, secretary UIT, the construction of the building was not as per the norms. No set back area was left by the owner while raising the construction.

Front elevation and construction on the right side of the building were demolished. A small restaurant operating illegally was also removed by the anti encroachment squad.
