In the recent movement undertaken by the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) for removing all illegal constructions and encroachments around the city, an operation was conducted today afternoon at the Devali area of Ayad.

An illegally constructed wall just close to the river was torn down by the UIT team. According to Pradeep Sangawat, Special Officer, UIT, it was more than 1500 sq. meter with a 250ft long boundary wall constructed by a person named Hemant Dashora.

“The wall was allegedly constructed to acquire the piece of land, which is illegal” said the officer.

The fully equipped Anti Encroachment Squad team led by Anil Sharma, Tehsil Officer, UIT and Pradeep Sangawat, Special Officer, UIT reached the spot and executed the work.

According to sources, an illegal construction at Alok School was destroyed by the owner itself.

At present illegal encroachment is one of the most rising problems that the administration is struggling with.
