UIT Quotes Rs 259 Cr. for Financial Year

Today, in a board meeting of UIT, Secretary, Ram Niwas Mehta presented a budget of Rs 259 crores, under the supervision of District Collector Ashutosh A.T Pedenekar, for the overall development of city.
In post budget conversation with local media, Pednekar briefed about the highlights of Budget, which has consideration for major engineering projects, including Elevated Road, Pratap Nagar Flyover, Ahad River and Four Lane between Pratap Nagar and Balicha.
Other highlights of budget covers various important projects, beautification of major circles of city, construction of 5 additional community centers , improving road network through removal of bottle necks, working on land banks and equipping UIT with ultra modern gadgets.
Pednekar added that apart from these projects, UIT will also work over double entry system in income and expenditure, which will draft all the income sources prior to realization along with expenses, so that it could be ensured that income is equal to expense.
A number of amendments have been made, which includes deduction Ernest Money to Rs.10 Thousand on booking of community hall, while rent slab for same has been raised to 10% per property.
Land conversion system has also been revised, where applicant will have to present drawing of his or her house, so that one does not have to visit UIT separately.
To discourage illegal construction around town, UIT would continue its drive started few weeks ago, where illegal constructions are demolished on the spot.
Developing park has been made compulsory for new and under developing colonies around town, where atleast 40% of total allotted land will have public gardens.
