A road widening process at Goverdhan Villas was carried out today by Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) Udaipur, where officials demolished few constructions by the road side. These buildings had created bottle neck condition in road expansion.

Ram Niwas Mehta, Secretary, UIT, informed that road connecting to N.H 8 Balicha highway shrinks at a locality near Goverdhan Villas, due to a residential colony by the road side. It was demolished, including few commercial land and office of forest department.

Mehta added that residents and shopkeepers of the locality have been given a notice to vacant their respective houses and shops before 30^th May. It will be demolished in near future so that connecting roads can be widened.

The Goverdhan Villas road is one the busiest roads in town, as it connects to highway and heavy transport vehicles /buses pass through that road. Now a small part of this road is narrow which causes accidents and traffic congestion on regular basis.
