In an interesting development that aims to ease commuting issues in the Coty of Lakes, the Urban Improvement Trust, Udaipur secured permission to overlay a 60ft. road which will connect Bohra Ganesh Ji main road to National Highway 76.

Jagmohan Singh, LAO, UIT, informed that UIT received the green signal for the construction from State Government, Rajasthan. The plans and proceedings would be now laid by UIT officials.

It will, though, not be a walk in the park as there are many hurdles in the project including Vinayak Vatika, Bohra Ganesh Ji Area which needs to be acquired to construct the road.

There would also be a parallel drainage built along with the road, which is expected to solve water-clogging problems of Bohra Ganesh Ji Area.

For the record, there still is a way to reach the highway from Bohra Ganesh Ji Area but this plan would have a straight connecting road measuring 1.4km in length and 60ft wide.
