Team from Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) today carried out anti-encroachment drive at the Ayad river bed near Sevashram bridge.

There has been a drive going on to free Ayad river bed of all illegal encroachments. While UIT is working towards making Ayad river bed clean and beautiful, UMC is working on making Ayad river bed encroachment free.

Towards this anti-encroachment drive, UMC today demolished permanent houses constructed under the Sevashram bridge.

As per details received, Kalu lal Salvi and Fakidam Banu had illegally encroached on the land at Ayad river bed and constructed permanent dwellings there. They were issued notice towards this by UMC multiple times. UMC today carried out the demolition since notices were not treated with any seriousness by the respondents.

Senior Police officials were present at the time of demolition along with Police force.

Both the house owners have been given alternative flats in Baliya Village in the UIT developed area.
