UMC Releases guidelines for placing Banners and Posters
After three days of confiscation drive against illegally placed banners and posters, Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) has issued some guidelines for their proper placement.
After three days of confiscation drive against illegally placed banners and posters, Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) has issued some guidelines for their proper placement.
According to the guidelines, anyone placing promotional or commercial bills around the city will have to take permission, failing on which, it would be considered as an offence and will be levied with a penalty or a punishment.
UMC Commissioner SN Acharya said that in the drive carried out in past couple of days, Council has impounded more than thousand banners from different locations. He also mentioned that they have documented more than 300 such posters and lodged a police complaint against them.
Acharya further informed that no one will be allowed to place banners on traffic light polls. Would Breaking of the rules would invite strict legal actions by the department.
