UMC removes encroachment from Chandpol

Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) acted over illegal encroachment at Chandpol locality today. The accused had occupied government land and was running Horse business. It was UMC’s second attempt and officials succeeded in moving him out of the encroached land.

Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) acted over illegal encroachment at Chandpol locality today. The accused had occupied government land and was running Horse business. It was UMC’s second attempt and officials succeeded in moving him out of the encroached land.

Durgesh Sharma, President, Revenue Committee, UMC, informed, “Manor Godiwala had established business at Bari Ghat near Chandpol. Anti-encroachment squad of UMC along with police squad freed around 1200 Sq feet government land.”

Sharma added that this land was under encroachment for last 8 years, which had blocked view of Pichola Lake. In the first attempt made last week, Manor Kumawat (Business Owner) attacked squad with stones. A case was filed against him in Ghantaghar Police Station.

In the anti-encroachment carried out today at Chandpol, police squad of Surajpol, Ghantaghar and Ambamata Police Station were also included for safety reasons.
