UMC starts Cleaning the Lakes once again
Rapidly increasing water pollution in lakes of Udaipur finally awakes the administration. Udaipur Municipal Council has decided to spend Rs. 37 lakhs on the process of cleaning all the lakes over an year in three sessions with 50 labors.
Rapidly increasing water pollution in the lakes of Udaipur has finally awaken the administration. Udaipur Municipal Council has decided to spend Rs. 37 lakhs on the process of cleaning all the lakes over an year in three sessions with 50 labors.
Today, around 20 labors were seen pulling out Hyacinth and solid waste from Swaroop Sagar. Following a recently passed tender of cleaning by UMC, as per clauses mention in allotted tender, the process will be carried out in three phases covering all water bodies of the city.
In first phase, Swaroop Sagar, Fateh Sagar, Upla Talab, Nayi Puliya till Fateh Sagar would be cleaned by 20 workers, while in second phase, Rang Sagar, Kumhariya Talab and Pichola lake would be included. In the final phase, Dudh Talai and Jalbhurg will be cleaned.
