Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) will be installing decorative lights around lakes of city. The decision was passed by the Lighting Committee after discussion with Mayor Rajni Dangi. These lights would be installed as permanent source of decoration.

Vijay Ahuja, President, Lighting Committee, UMC, informed that UMC will install these decorative lights on sides of lakes including Pichola and Dudhtalai. At present colored lights are already installed by UMC at Fatehsagar Pal.

Ahuja added that tenders for installation will be opened soon. UMC will spend Rs.10 lac over the project. He added that emphasis will be given on installing LED lights, as are power efficient and durable.
