Durgesh Sharma, the BJP candidate and now Ward Councilor who has conquered the stronghold of the Congress was whole heartedly welcomed by the Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Rajni Dangi and other members of the UMC.

Durgesh Sharma won the seat defeating his closest opponent Pramod Khabya of the Congress with a margin of 439 votes.

Dinesh Gupta (Ex-Councilor and Coordinator of the elections for Durgesh Sharma), said that we totally reject the Congress party’s claim that they have lost the seat due to back stabbing by the Congress workers.

He told that neither Congress workers including Kamal Nayan Khandelwal nor any other Congress party worker supported BJP’s candidate. He also added that this is truly the victory of the hard work of the BJP party workers and he also quoted Katariya’s statement, “This is the victory of the “Jan-bal” against the “Dhan-bal”.

Dinesh Gupta said that there is no bifurcation of the leadership in BJP and both Gulab Chand Katariya as well as Kiran Maheshwari have shown full support to the candidate.

All the top leaders with the party workers and the BJP Yuwa Morcha workers were present on the occasion.
