Unlock 5 guidelines were issued on Friday,2nd October, by Rajasthan government. The guidelines state that all schools, colleges, educational institutes, cinema halls etc. will remian closed till 31st October in the wake of rising pandemic cases. No regular classes to be held in educational institutes. Students from 9th to 12th standard are allowed to visit schools outside containment zones BUT only with the written consent of parents.
The guidelines also indicate that 50 percent of teaching and non-teaching staff can be called to schools. It has also been specified that online classes must be continued and encouraged for all. Institutions of higher education shall be permitted to reopen from 15th October only for lab works for science and technology streams.
The state government has also decided to keep all the recreational centres, which include swimming pools and public parks, shut until 31st October in the wake of Covid-19. Social, political, religious functions etc. will not be permitted until 31st October. However for gatherings related to weddings, it is mandatory to provide a prior information to sub-divisional magistrate. All social distancing norms must be followed and the number of guests must not go beyond 50. Any violation will be treated as an offence and will attract a heavy fine.
It may also be noted that wearing masks is extremely necessary for the safety of all. Do go ahead and request everyone to wear masks when at any public place. As of now, it hs been clarified that masks are the only way to stop the virus from spreading.
