An incidence of illegal road cutting came into light at Goverdhan Villas locality. Villagers objecting against unlawful activity forcibly stopped the work. Although they did not inform respective department about the incidence.

Today, at Goverdhan Villas area, an earth mover was carrying out road cutting work outside Hotel Vishala, owned by Vinay Jain. It was claimed it to be a sewerage channel construction on permission of Municipal Corporation. But the contractor could not produce any documents supporting permission for under process work.

According to Samarth Singh Babel, Executive Engineer, UMC, “No such permission was granted on part of sewerage channel construction.”

According to locals, a similar road cutting was done a month ago which was stopped on objection by a resident of colony. As there was no proper connectivity of sewerage in the locality, all the waste would scatter on road, added locals.

The villagers also informed that Hotel Vishala is constructed on banks of Lake Goverdhan Villas. The approach road in the locality is just 15 feet wide which will cause traffic congestion in area.
