Udaipur Municipal Corporation will have Mayor from general category (Male) for next five years. The decision was suggested from lottery of 184 councils and corporation held at Jaipur today.

The Directorate of Local Bodies took out a lottery for defining category on post of mayors and chairmen. Among two listed category of OBC and General from Udaipur, chit of general was picked.

The elected representatives of UMC along with officials were eagerly waiting for outcome of lottery being held at Jaipur this evening. Mayor Rajni Dangi along with its party members was also eager for the announcement.

Sources informed that out of two categories in OBC, anyone among male and female could be given post of mayor, whereas in general category only a male can be elected.

Election of Udaipur Municipal Corporation will be organized in November this year. Councilors of both ruling and opposition will vote for electing Mayor.
