The Forest Department Udaipur is organizing Wild Animal Census from 14-15^th May 2014 on full moon day, in which wildlife zone of North, South, East and West will be included. Department has also invited common masses during the process, registration for which will start from 11^th May.

According to Rahul Bhattnagar, Chief Forest Officer, Forest Department, “Counting process will start from mid night on 14^th and will continue till mid night of 15^th, over all four zones simultaneously by the respective forest officer.”

Bhattnagar added, “This year we have invited locals during the counting process, registration for which would be open from 11^th May at forest department offices, where locals have to sign a declaration with the department.”

Bhattnagar informed one must also ensure that he or she is not suffering from any disease(s), as census continues for 24 hours in which visitors have to sit at a fixed spot, along with officers and other observers.
