It was reported that PM Modi will lay the foundation for tasks worth 537 crore under the smart city project in Udaipur. As per Siddharth Sihag, CEO for Smart City Company, a video conference will be carried out with Navin Mahajan, Secretary for Autonomous Rule, on Monday. Preparations are on for the visit of PM Modi though no authorised letter has yet been received in this regard.

L&T will carry out the smart city works for which tender process has been completed. Under this project, works to be carried out include 24-hour water supply, repair and maintenance of sewerage system, underground electricity lines and spreading underground ducts to avoid road cutting in future.
