Combating the problem of eve teasing in the city, woman police constables in civilian clothes caught 6 eve teasers who were found passing remarks to girls at MG College and Fateh Sagar.

SP Ajaypal Lamba said that various teams comprising of one constable under an SHO were deployed to be at public places. 3 female constables in civilian clothes were made to stand outside schools and colleges. The teams are supervising at Fateh Sagar, Saheliyon ki Badi, Dudh Talai, Rajeev Park, MG College and Residency School.

UT had asked the question to its readers in a poll a week back asking for suggestions to curb eve teasing in Udaipur. Based on the poll, majority of the people had demanded police to act stringent by coming on field in civilian clothes and catch the culprits.

It seems that the voice is reaching to the right ears and action is being taken for a safer city.
