A meeting was held under the supervision of Collector Rohit Gupta in which suggestions regarding participation of students, youth and IT sector necessary for development of Smart City.

The meeting was attended by consultant agency’s Jitendrapal and Piyush Goyal, CPO Sudhir Dave, representatives of IIDC, college students and professors along with IT specialists.

Collector said that the general public will be included through social media and emails to work towards Smart City project. Also, tourism industry needs to be promoted in the city on a substantial level for which unique suggestions are invited from personnel after which progress will be made.

He further added that UdaipurSmartCity.in is a platform on which one can register through their email ids who will receive information on all-round events in which citizens can participate. Various competitions are also open for people to participate in including essays, logo design and polls. There is a provision on Facebook (Udaipur Smart City page) and Twitter (Smart_Udaipur) for people to provide useful suggestions.
