An inter-school and inter-college Chess championship competition was organized at M.D.S public school and was hosted by Chess in Lakecity. Vikas Sahu, secretary and trainer told that the chief guests of the event included Chandraprakash Bhatt, guardian of Chess in Lakecity.

The event was presided by Dr. Shailendra Somani, first national judge from Udaipur, ex secretary of district chess committee. There will be around 186 participants from 16 various schools and colleges. Organizer has announced the amount of 1100 to the winning champion team. Co-judge Nilesh Kumawat, Yogesh Hingad, Manish Chandaliya were also there and the scores till now are as following:

St. Anthony School, The Scholars Arena, MDS and Vivekanad were for class 9 to12. MDS, St. Anthony, St. Paul, Seedling and Sunbeam were for class 4 to 8. St. Anthony,, Seedling and Sunbeam were for class 1 to 3. BNPG-a, BNPG-B and BNPG Girls colleges are keeping up with good scores so far.
