On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, 16^th Mass Marriage of the Sindhi community is being organized by the Julelal Seva Samiti.

In this mass marriage, 24 couples will be getting married. This one day event will begin in the morning and culminate with a Gala Dinner in the evening.

The program will commence as early as 8 in morning, which includes breakfast for the guests participating from different parts of the country.

According to the information provided by organizers of the event, all formal programs will be initiated from 11 am, with makeup of the brides being followed by Sehra Bandi of the Groom at 1 pm. The ceremonial pheras will take place at 2 pm and continue till 4 pm.

The Gala Dinner will be held at the Nand Vandan Vatika near Oriental Resorts, opposite Bhopal Nobles College, from 7 pm onwards.

Pratap Rai Chug, President of the Julelal Seva Samiti, in his talks with UT said, “the procession will be taken out on an individual basis; every couple will be gifted with a cash present from the Samiti”.

More than 20 thousand people are expected to participate in this communal event; other matters will be discussed in a meeting tomorrow with members of the committee.
