In his speech Dr. Atulabh Vajpayee ( in photo above) also described about the working of Brain and the symptoms of this disease. He explained a simple theory about the diagnosis of Stroke i.e. “FAST”; Facial Weakness, Arm Weakness, Speech Problem and Time to call. He emphasised that regular awareness programmes should be conducted to create awareness about this disease.

“Stroke” is such a disease which can be cured if the precaution and proper treatment is taken on time but if it is not identified it can cause disasters. The records say that out of every 25 patients only one patient is aware about this. Due to this unawareness 80% of the people believe that these are symptoms of Heart disease, not Brain. People believe more in Myths than taking proper treatment at proper time, says Dr. Vajpayee.

Members of Rotary Club and Rotary Meera Club and other notable people including Harish Rajani, Director Sunrise Education; Prashant Agarwal, Secretary Narayan Seva Sansthan were present in the function. The relatives and friends of the undergoing stroke patients were also there to participate in the event.

The talk concluded with the active participation of the listeners who asked their queries about this disease and other related doubts they have in their mind and was answered in a very polished manner by the speaker.
