Udaipur, June 27, 2025 - A meeting of the District Road Safety Committee was called by District Collector Namit Mehta and held on June 26 led by Additional District Magistrate (City) War Singh. Members present discussed various aspects related to key infrastructure and road safety initiatives and necessary directives were issued.
An update on the progress of the Elevated Road from the City Station to the Collector’s residence was provided by Nagar Nigam Superintendent Engineer Mukesh Pujari. It was decided that on completion of the road, AI-based high-resolution cameras will be installed at the Delhi Gate intersection.
A proposal to shift the boundary of Rana Pratap Nagar Station and construct a slip lane was also presented.
Discussions were held on developing a pollution-free green zone in the walled city area and reviewing the status of black spots and liquor shops on national highways.
The Superintendent Engineer of the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) shared progress updates on road projects, saying that 35% of the work on the road from Sisarma to NH 58 has been completed, while the work on the Bhuwana to Pratap Nagar route is expected to be completed by July 15.
The four-lane road from Pratap Nagar to Balicha is likely to be completed by September.
