An Evening…in the memory of Martyred Police Commando

Series of programs were performed today to commemorate the first death anniversary of martyred police commando Prakash Chandra Khatik who was shot dead on 18 April 2011 during an attack by gangsters near Kesarganj, Bhilwara. The honour ceremony was organized by a special committee established for Martyred Prakash Khateek with the name “Amar Shaheed Prakash Khatik Samaroh Samiti”.

Two minutes silence was observed which was followed by paying of floral tribute at the photograph of deceased commander by the citizens present on the occasion, social workers, police personnel, politicians, friends and family members of Prakash.

The managing committee has also announced to construct Prakash Khatik’s monument at Siphon Circle and the circle is to be named on martyred commander.

On 18 April, a team of police was taking the dreaded criminal Bhanupratap Singh for a court trial, when rival gang members attacked the police vehicle near Kesarganj killing Bhanu and two policemen including Prakash Khatik.

Later in the evening, a Hasya Kavi Sammelan will be organized at Siphon Circle where poets from nearby places will express  their witty thoughts in a humorous way. Poets Ompal Singh Nidar from Firozabad (UP), Shanti Toofan from Nimbheda, Balwant Baloo from Rishabhdev, Sangita Surili from Kankroli, Gopal Durandar from Nimach and Shyam Angara from Beawar, the program will be coordinated by Raj Kavi Ajat Shatru.
