Gopesh Bhatt, Retd. IAS officer laid the foundation of Swami Vivekananda Society before eight years with an aim to work for the social and noble cause of the society and keeping in tune with that the society is active in carrying out many activities.

The group has organised a 2-day sale of used goods in Blind school at Ambamata, near Charak Hostel.

Many kind and soft hearted people donate various items at regular intervals such as Home equipments, Clothes, sundry items like Cell phones, telephones, Leather bags, etc.

All these items were put to sale in an exhibition at a very reasonable price for the underprivileged people and the amount collected thus will be invested for the development and management of the Blind Schools in the city by the society.

Shobha Karwa, the President of the society told us that society is undertaking many more such attempts for the development of needful people. She further added that Social responsibility should be taken by the people to make this society clean that will help in the development of the needy.
