Baghri Prints Creating Buzz in the Exhibition
Ten days Gandhi Shilp Bazaar which was commenced on 16th March at Town Hall, Udaipur under the banner of National Craft Fair and RUDA (Rural Non Farm Development Agency) is showcasing Baghri prints of Rajasthan in this exhibition cum sale.
The prints are globally famous for their long lasting colors which are obtained after a rigorous process to give the never ending effect.
Rambabu, the one to showcase the prints said that he has brought salwar suits, show pieces, sarees, bed sheets etc. that are made using Kalamkaari and other traditional approaches of dying clothes.

He added, “We don’t have to state the importance of these prints to people, as they already know the usefulness and durability of these prints. The colors that are used in these prints are boiled in water for at least four hours and then washed multiple times to obtain permanent effect. The ‘Baghru Print’ is greatly in demand in the fair.”
The fair will continue till 26th March.
