Blood Donation Camps by students and social workers

Blood Donation Camps were organized by Divine Heart Society, an organization to promote blood donation and Vidhya Bhawan Polytechnic on Saturday, 19 Nov.2011. Divine Heart Society organized the camp in collaboration with Student Unions of MLSU and University College of Commerce and Management Studies. Parmveer Singh Chundawat, President, Student Unoin MLSU said, “Blood Donation is a Great Donation.”

55 units of blood were donated by the students. Ravindra Pal Singh (Kappu) was also felicitated for donating more than 50 units blood so far.

The chief guest of the events were D.S Chundawat, Dean UCCMS; Kailash Sodani, Dean Social Welfare; Pramveer Singh Chundawat, President Student Union MLSU; Pankaj Borana, President CCMS.

Another camp was organized jointly by NSS unit of Vidhya Bhawan Polytechnic College, Mahaveer International and Mohan Singh Mehta Memorial Trust.

The camp was inaugurated by Narendra Mogra, in charge Blood Bank, Moti Singh Khamesra, President, Mahaveer International, Vijay Singh Mehta, President, Mohan Singh Mehta Memorial Trust and Anil Mehta, Principal, Vidhya Bhawan Polytechnic College.

63 students and faculty members participated in the event and donated blood in the presence of eminent persons from various fields including Nand Kishore Sharma, Ganesh Dagliya, V.S. Kawadia and others. The students were also updated about the importance of blood donation.
