Bohra Leader to arrive at Galiyakot, might visit Udaipur

Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, the 52nd spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohras is going to visit Galiyakot (175kms from Udaipur) at the shrine of bohra saint Seydi Fakhruddin, on Sunday, 18th December.
Accompanied by his son and successor, Syedi Mufaddal Bhaisaheb, Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin will come by a helicopter from Lonavala to Galiyakot. During his stay, he will be accorded the status of state guest.
The duration of his stay is still not clear but a large number of people from Udaipur are expected to visit Galiyakot while he is there.
According to sources, He might visit Udaipur during his stay at Galiyakot. “We have requested them and sent an invitation to come to Udaipur also. Now we are just praying and waiting for his response, and hope for his arrival” said Dr. B. Momin, the spokesperson of Dawoodi Bohras Shia Jamaat, Udaipur.
Mohammad Mustafa of Manama Motors said “We are expecting him to visit Udaipur; we are all done with our preparation to give them a grand welcome.”
Dr. Syedna Mohammad Burhannudin had last visited Udaipur in 1998. Sydena is considered as the highest religious and spiritual authority of the mighty trading Bohra community. There are nearly 15000 members of the Bohra community residing in Udaipur.
