Amidst the melodious and rhythmic performances by well known flutist Naveen Kumar and Bollywood choreographer Mehul Gadani, the 2 day musical fiesta ‘Breakfree’ concluded yesterday on 21st April at the MLSU auditorium.
Organized by New Havens Entertainment with the support of the United Christian Front, the event was solely dedicated to a drug-addiction-free society.
Raghuveer Singh Meena, M.P, was the Chief Guest of the program. He was welcomed by Anil Masih, President of the United Christian Front.
The program began with Church Songs and was followed by Naveen Kumar’s enthralling flute playing. He played his original tunes from the movies Roja and Bombay in which he had worked with A.R. Rahman.
Naveen Kumar extended his note of spirituality by the means of the flute. He said, “The tone of the flute takes the heart into complete submission and that further protects it from going astray. The Flute makes the person internally strong and satisfied.”
Mehul Gadani, Choreographer and dance director enchanted the audience with his one act play, which pointed out that how our life is clouded with fake materialism; Mehul called it ‘Plastic Life’.
He has also danced on a few popular Bollywood numbers and finally sang a hymn. Kirti Sagtia also presented a hymn and the program concluded with the song ‘Satyamev Jayte’.
Stephen Benjamin, Director at New Havens thanked everyone for supporting the cause
