Chomu Police Station, Jaipur has been selected as the best Police Station in the state by the selection committee of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation and the Government of Rajasthan.
Chomu Police Station, Jaipur has been selected as the best Police Station in the state by the selection committee of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation and the Government of Rajasthan.
The station head of Chomu Police Station is going to be honored by Shreeji Arvind Singh Mewar, President and patron of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, on 26th February 2012 at the 13th Maharana Mewar Foundation Annual Awards, which will be held at City Palace, Udaipur.
Mayank Gupta, Program coordinator has said that the selection of Chomu Police Station was based on analyzing a list of parameters and prospects. The police station has done remarkable work in controlling crime and accidents, building trust among common citizens and introducing various innovative methods and programs to encourage friendly relations between the public and police.
Chomu Police Station has also established communal harmony and maintained law and order in the area. As the police team received substantial assistance from the citizens of the area, it helped them in controlling anti-social elements, arrests of wanted accused, etc. thereby facilitating control over crime in the area.
The Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, in 2008 was the pioneer in initiating this special award for the Best Police Station.
