Congress corporators of Udaipur Municipal Corporation have objected the indirect publicity of Narendra Modi through poetry recitation at the program of Kavi Sammelan last night during Diwali Mela.

The situation turned tense when leaders of both political parties came face to face and started arguing. Police intervention controlled the situation but the quarrel turned off the audience.

According to the sources, congress corporators Dinesh Shrimali and others objected on poetry “Veeras” recited by Abdul Ghaffar. Congress leaders alleged that the poetry is to promote BJP leader and prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Shrimali said, that the Kavi Sammelan was just a way to support Narendra Modi, the opposition leaders not organized the program to entertain people but to promote their party leader.
