CPS Student's Adventurous Trip to Dharmshala
81 students of classes 8th to 12th standard from CPS went on a 5 day adventure trip to Dalhousie, Khajjiyar, Dharmshala and Mcleodganj, along with 8 teachers of the school. The group left Udaipur on 21st of December for Dharmshala from where they went to Mcleodganj in the buses hired by the school.
Students of Central Public School (CPS) celebrated their Christmas in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh on their annual adventurous trip.
81 students of classes 8th to 12th standard from CPS went on a 5 day adventure trip to Dalhousie, Khajjiyar, Dharmshala and Mcleodganj, along with 8 teachers of the school. The group left Udaipur on 21st of December for Dharmshala from where they went to Mcleodganj in the buses hired by the school.
From Mcleodganj the group moved towards Triund Mountains which is 2,875 Mtr high for trekking. After enjoying their trekking of 23kms they explored the headquarters of the Dalai Lama and the Mall Road at Mcleodganj.
Deepak Sharma, the Joint Director of the school said, “Children enjoyed the most while trekking at Triund. We also had fun doing the river rafting, para gliding and zorbing.”
The night stay at Dalhousie was followed by a trip to Khajjiyar on 25th December where they enjoyed the mountains and valleys of Khajjiyar. They had a glimpse of amazing saucer shaped valley which had a lake with a floating island on it surrounded by tall Pine Trees.
The children celebrated Christmas while enjoying their time around the Bonfire in the evening. The Christmas cake was cut by Deepak Sharma & Shweta Sharma.
The teachers who accompanied the group were Deepak Sharma, Shweta Sharma, Meenakshi Joshi, Veenita Nag, C.L.Barot, Prem Shanker, K.P.Singh and R.N. Vashistha.
CPS conducts national and international tours annually for their school children. Last year they went to Kull Manali for the National tour and have recently concluded a trip to Singapore.
