“Uttarayan” was celebrated at MBA (Engineering) at CTAE with traditional gaiety & fervor on Friday, 13th January on the occasion of “Makar Sankranti”.

Uttarayan or Makar Sankranti as it is generally known, is celebrated as the Sun begins its Northward journey from the Tropic of Capricorn and also as a mark of the start of harvest season.

The event was organized with the objectives of emphasizing to understand the underlying science behind the festival and the importance of such festivals in strengthening the socio-cultural bonds.

Also, such celebrations help in developing a close cohesion between faculty & students, giving students a break from their tight academic schedules after the completion of their end-term exams and bonding them with nature.
