This is a cyclic waterfall; the water will exit into lake through a small tunnel, while the intake of water will be made through a 100mm pipe which will pull the water till top to reach the starting point of the fall.

To beautify the Moti Magri hill adjoining to Lake Fateh Sagar, construction of an artificial waterfall from Maharana Pratap Memorial at Moti Magri has started this month and it will take one and half month more for completion.

“This is a cyclic waterfall; the water will exit into lake through a small tunnel, while the intake of water will be made through a 100mm pipe which will pull the water till top to reach the starting point of the fall,” said Nirmal Suthar, Assistant Engineer, UIT.

He said, “We have designed this fall in steps like structure where water will gather and then flow and to control its flowing speed, there will be three steps on it. It is quite possible to operate this fall throughout the year. “

When asked about certain alteration needed in constructing this fall, Nirmal said, “We are trying to do minimum alteration to the natural structure of the hill but some variation is needed but those are minor ones. We are not doing any major change.”

The fall’s starting point is exactly below the hill where Maharana Paratap’s Memorial is situated, the output is design in such a way that water will pass through tunnel without becoming barrier for vehicles passing through lake side.

“Before opening for public we will test this fall and see if the ‘three steps’ are working without any flaw. We will try our best to accomplish this successfully,” says the officer.
