Dance and Fancy Dress Competitions Marked 3rd Day of Function

The day began with lighting of lamp by Dr. Vijaylaxmi Surana Vice-principal and Dr. Kokila Goyal followed by the announcement of summary of rules and regulation of the competition by Dr. Seema Rathore.
The students from various streams and classes participated in fancy dress and solo dance competition. There were in all 56 participants in solo dance competition and 6 participated in fancy dress. Judges for the events were Dr. Nootan Kavitkar, Dr. Sangeeta Sharma and Dr. Abha Gupta.
“We conduct this program annually, it gives a relaxation and break to students from daily academic routine and an opportunity to present their talents on stage” said Dr. Poonam Joshi, In-charge of the function.
Veena Lohar, student of M.A. (Music) won the first prize in fancy dress competition and Neelima Rameja, of M.Com. stood second.
Divya Gehlot of III year (Arts) won hearts of judges and audience with her classic moves and bagged the first prize in solo singing competition. Neha Kumavat, III year (Arts) and Abhilasha Sarangdevat M.A (Previous) won second and third positions respectively.
The consolation prizes were given to Shehnaz (M.A. Final), Salma Praveen and Arpita Joshi (III year, Arts)
The certificates and souvenirs were presented to the winners by eminent personalities present at the function; Dr. Vijaylaxmi Surana, Dr. Kokila Goyal, Dr. Poonam Joshi, Dr. Priyamvada, Dr. Anjana Guatam and Usha Dangi.
The events were organized under the direction of Usha Audichay and were concluded with vote of thanks by Chandra Kumawat.
The competitions will continue for two more days and the last day of the event is scheduled for state level competitions. The organizers have already received from 16 Government Colleges from all over Rajasthan. Registration can be done on the same day also.
