DCC smashes Taherabad, SSU League Ends
Dawoodi Cricket Club, Udaipur has won the SSU Champions League Season-3 by defeating Taherabad Cricket Club by 8 wickets in an exciting match witnessed today at the Field Club cricket ground. The two day tournament was concluded today in the presence of Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

The super-six tournament was part of the celebrations of 101st Birthday of Dawoodi Bohra Spiritual Leader Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin, which is on 13th March. The tournament started on 3rd March, and was inaugurated by Sheikh Mustafa Moyeddi, Amil of Udaipur
According to official sources, Dawoodi Cricket Club defeated Burhani Cricket Club while Taherabad Cricket Club beat Hyderi Cricket Club to qualify for the finals.
Today, hundreds of spectators gathered at the Field Club to watch the close knit matches. Dawoodi Cricket Club chose to field after winning the toss. The rivals, Taherabad made 79 runs in 12 overs by losing 4 wickets.
Dawoodi’s strong batting lineup stuck to its reputation to reach the target while losing only 2 wickets and won the match by 8 wickets.
In the first three overs of their innings, the DCC scored 23 runs, and in the fourth over they lost their second wicket and ended the over with 28 runs. However, the scoring speed never slumped and the DDC reached their target with more than an over to spare. The pressure of having to score at almost 7 runs an over showed in the first over, but again, in the next 10 overs, the flow of runs kept the pressure at bay.
Mustan Rangwala was awarded with the Man of the Match. The award ceremony was conducted in the leadership of Sheikh Mustafa Moyeddi and the Guest of Honor Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, who was seen sporting a Bohri traditional cap at the ceremony.
