Devasthan Bhawan Inaugurated

Devasthan Bhawan, the new office of Devsthan Department was inaugurated today by Brij Kishore Sharma, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Sanskrit Education, Language & Linguistic Minorities, Devsthan (Addl. Charge), Govt. of Rajasthan, Ram Kishore Saini Minister of Devsthan, Gulab Chand Kataria, M.L.A and Raghuveer Singh Meena M.P at RSMM compound.

Charge), Govt. of Rajasthan, Ram Kishore Saini Minister of Devsthan, Gulab Chand Kataria, M.L.A and Raghuveer Singh Meena M.P at RSMM compound.

The building stands in an area of 15100 sq. ft. and it has 3 storeys. About 1.5 crore rupees has been spent in the construction of the Devasthan Bhawan.

On this occasion, Brij Kishore Sharma enlightened the gathering on the works done for the temples, “For the renovation of Gogamaari temple, Tezmaari temple and Ramdevra temple we have spent Rs.50 lakh on each of them. We have also proposed 50% increases on “Bhoj Rashee” for the temples across the state.”

“Recently we had also announced a subsidy of 20 thousand rupees to pilgrims of Kailash Mansarover. 11 people have already taken benefit of it,” he added.

Devasthan Department works under the Public Work Department for the renovation and maintenance of temples across the state. In 2009-2010 the Department spent Rs.452 lakhs in the renewal of temples and in 2010-2011, Rs.25 lakhs have been spent. In future they aim to restore 594 temples.
